I've not dabbled in full colour Photoshop artwork for a while now, but with the handy addition of a graphics tablet, I instantly got back into producing - and this is the important bit - enjoying production of artwork. This is one of many colour reference guides for the animation I'm currently in pre-production with. Check out the ever-expanding website at [link] for more info.

The artwork took me 3 hours to colourize over a pencil sketch scanned in which took me 2 hours. Thank god for Wacom.

so it's daisy huh? it could be just me but it looks like daisy has a little beard-thing going on around her mouth.. i'm gonna buy a wacom next month (i have a cheap-ass aiptek thing) and try it myself (i doubt i'll b any good at all). the general feeling of the image is great, sketchline always add something extra somehow, and i think the contrast between the background and the foreground is done very well (high vs low saturation). gj n
